A lot of people are crying in the comments about the therapist saying sociopathy give her the chills or whatever y’all are way too innocent like if a sociopath were to know u feel this way, you’d be an easy target. For some backstory: I have been diagnosed with a conduct disorder, I have all the cliche early onset signs of ASPD, (cruelty to animals, i wet the bed until age 12, and I have snuck downstairs to set paper towels on fire), I have ASPD, where I live I cannot be diagnosed until 18. So I am as professionally diagnosed as I can be at my age. I manipulate others into getting what I want, and can lie and fake emotions very well. I went through trauma at a very early age, (serious neglect) so yeah, I am not an edgy, self diagnosed teen. Watching this video, here are some things I've gathered: So if these people are giving you goosebumps out of terror, maybe don't insult them? Seems like saying "Fuck you!" to a monster under your bed. I think you are being deliberately stupid or have been misinformed and are very gullible. No one is this dumb. Calling millions of people disgusting? To make money on the internet? Idk, seems pretty sociopathic to me dawg. Hahahahaha. 1 in 10? I can't decide if that wasn't in the script and you just decided to wing it or if someone lied to you.

A sociopath would know that this video is complete bs, the "therapist" is describing an extreme form of psychopathy. Being a sociopath just means you have a hard time dealing with emotions and that you are unable to experience empathy in most situations.

Ok so I was watching this drama channel talking about how Shane treats his friends. I was reading the comment section and I saw this comment : when Kati was explaining different traits and symptoms of sociopaths impulsivity came up and Shane audibly whispered “Garrett..” to Andrew as if trying to imply Garrett was a sociopath. I called it here and nobody listened. This video was OUTRAGEOUS. And the few smaller mental health channels that dared criticize it... they all got personal messages from Shane pretending he watched them and adored them and they quickly changed their tune.

Of course sociopaths are humans too (as people in the comments keep saying), but lack of remorse, impulsive and dangerous behaviour and little empathy doesn't sit right with me and I don't find that appealing in the slightest. If they don't feel bad about what they do, why the hell should I?

You clearly don't even know what sociopathy is. What you and this video is describing is an extreme form of psychopathy, not sociopathy. Sociopaths just have a very limited amount of empathy but they do absolutely feel emotions. I assume all your information about sociopaths are from this video, which is kinda sad since the "therapist" in this video specialises with food and eating disorders while working as a marriage counsellor.

A psychologist cannot act and talk about a disorder like that, saying it is disgusting. And sociopathy and psychopathy are different things and it doesn't necessarily mean that the person will be violent. As a psychology student I am ashamed of these professionals.

The therapist is very knowledgeable & definitely knows what she's talking about, BUT the way she describes it as "gross" or "icky" or "creepy" is SO unprofessional it's crazy. Like as a therapist, you're the LAST person who should be judging. Not everyone with this disorder is a monster just like with ANY disorder. I just can't believe she reacted like this as a clinical professional. All in all though I did like this documentary.
