This "documentary" of Eugenia is not okay. It's not in any way for the interest of Eugenia or others who suffer anorexia. It is purely because he knew he'd get millions of views because people are obsessed with Eugenia's story. Most of us want to see her recovery story as it would be beneficial to those who suffer, but this is just a pure mockery... The reference back to an old video called "Is Eugenia TOO skinny?" angered me... because they said it was a bad title, but then proceeded to laugh about it. I wonder what Eugenia's thoughts are on the whole thing. Shane is a vile person I've come to realise anyway, in more ways than one. The people suggesting he's the right man for the "job" are wrong. There are more understanding and sympathetic people out there who could have made this a whole lot more respectable. He doesn't qualify just because he has/had body dysmorphia. Something I suffer with myself. I sincerely hope any proceeds made on this video were donated to a health organisation and not directly into his pocket.

Do people forget that she made the decision to talk to him, and Shane was probably a nice distraction? I mean, he really did try his best, from someone who dealt with this in high school, I understand the effort and appreciate that he asked if anything was off limits. It shows that he does care about what questions he’s talking about.

Before I went to the hospital for Anorexia, I would constantly watch her because it was my dream to look like her; yes I know that was toxic thinking. But now I want her to recover so bad because eating disorders are not fun. I dislike when people glamorize the idea of having a eating disorder; eating disorders are a living hell. We are not happy, we never feel enough, and not only are we hurting ourselves we are also hurting our families that care so much about us. I know recovery isn’t easy and it takes a long time, but it is so worth it! Please keep yourself safe everyone because you only live once.

He had people telling him it was too early to bring her back in front of the camera, and he did anyway. The therapist told him the things he should have avoided, and he brought them up anyways. He didn't give a shit... if his intentions were decent, he would have said something like "she and I have still been on contact with each other" or something... but hes been conveniently silent... not too reassuring to his fans.

For everybody saying that they were insensitive to her and triggered her etc... this is a grown woman who consented to this because she thought that it would help people. the fact that she told shane that no topics were off limits is her choosing to address the problem and not candy-coat reality. i don't know why she relapsed. nobody knows. i am glad that this video exists though. this is a side to her that we have never seen.

Even though she’s a grown woman, she JUST started to talk about her ed, after years of denying it. And these people are adults too, they knew that she could be still sensitive to this topic but decided to film her anyway. You mention that she gave her consent, but you forgot that she doesn’t have the capability of saying no. They even talk about her being « too nice » at one point. Stop trying to defend Shane, he’s done so many other problematic things.

Anorexia is not a drug but it is a form of addiction and you totally _can_ relapse from it. A relapse is returning to destructive behaviour or more simply relapse is the worsening of a medical condition that had previously improved, and that's exactly what Eugenia's done. *She's relapsed.*
